Self-Confidence


Self-confidence is what drives us forward. In combination with a little courage, it brings us to our goal. With confidence, we accomplish deeds that make us proud, which in turn make us grow.

For me, the most important thing is to keep growing. Acquiring new knowledge allows me the aha-effect or more importantly, growing in terms of personality. Personal expansion comes with experience. To gain experience you need self-confidence and courage to take a step. So it is an interplay of all components.

In yoga, we can gain self-confidence by practicing positions that may intimidate us a bit - such as the handstand. Very subtle exercises, such as perceiving our own body and accepting it as it is, also gives us self-confidence towards ourselves.
