Yin Yoga Poses for this wintery weekend ❄️

A gentle invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect.

Start by sitting upright and take a moment to arrive. Begin to focus on your breath by counting:

In 1 — out 2, In 3 — out 4

Continue until 10, then start again at 1.

Repeat for 3–4 rounds.

Then gently scan through your body.Start at the crown of your head and slowly move down, part by part, until you reach your feet. Simply notice what is there.

Now move into this small Yin Yoga sequence.

Hold each pose for 2–3 minutes (or longer if it feels right).

🌿 Sequence

  • Seagrass

  • Child’s Pose

  • Butterfly (over a bolster or pillows)

  • Dragonfly

  • Sphinx

  • Caterpillar

  • Your preferred twist

  • Shavasana

In Shavasana, stay as long as you wish. When you’re ready to come out, begin with deeper breaths. Gently move your fingers and toes, then slowly let the movements grow bigger. Find your way back to a comfortable seated position.

Take one final check-in. Notice what has shifted — your breath, your body, your mind. Enjoy the quiet and the softness that is now present.
